The author describes definitions and basic principles of industrial ecology, waste-free (clean) production, methods of its organization and development. Special attention is given to the harmonious usage of air and water, recycling, disposal of household and dangerous waste, organization of waste-free production systems and eco-industrial parks. The ecological problems of building materials production, coke, and petrochemical industry, ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy, and energy are examined.
